I can relate--I lost mine in the fall and have been making do with a very old pair, so things are a bit blurry and smeary as the coating's mostly worn off. When hte water went down we trawled the mud for my glasses, a truly disgusting proceedure. Luckily one of our friends had a spare pair of +1s, which made all the difference between total blur and being able to see reasonably clearly. I've just picked up my new pair of glasses from the optician - a chance to get new frames and a rather funky new look, I think!Kithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11594062064082350697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25059881.post-24642563399347019352014-01-23T15:49:21.094+02:002014-01-23T15:49:21.094+02:00Good lord, Kit! Whew - scary with the flooding.... and you never mentioned whether you found your glasses again or not. I'd be lost without mine! Glad you had fun, flood and mud notwithstanding.Marchelinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11201825708442679157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25059881.post-7527686661624793742014-01-22T12:21:25.960+02:002014-01-22T12:21:25.960+02:00Thanks, Tigger. There was a point when the waters were still rising, more storms were forecast and I was wondering whether I should get the kids to pack their bags before they went to bed, just in case. And then I slept right through the thunderstorm.... and the waters only rose a little bit more and we were fine.Kithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11594062064082350697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25059881.post-21044645257101332972014-01-22T12:02:44.984+02:002014-01-22T12:02:44.984+02:00What an awesome adventure Kit. Glad you arrived back safely and had a (mostly) lovely holiday :) xxtiggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07368320596242571645noreply@blogger.com
