Somebody made a naartjie dessert! ;-) I remember being thoroughly confused when I first got to the UK - what the hell is a tangerine/satsuma/clementine/minneola?? Where are my naartjies?! LOL.

I've had this in restaurants in SA done with lemons and I'm almost sure I've seen it done with a mango?? It's such a great way of presenting the sorbet! And I agree with a previous commenter that I really like the photo of the slightly iced-over fruit. Thanks for a fab WTSIM contribution :)Jeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12325204219395014329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25059881.post-87351361542118832862007-05-30T09:10:00.000+02:002007-05-30T09:10:00.000+02:00They look simply tantalisingly deeelicious! As we were eating them, I thought perfect for summer, but the fruit are in season in winter..which is an unanswerable conundrum, unless we had the restraint to keep them uneaten in the freezer for several months!

It would work with any citrus fruit, clementines, oranges, lemons, grapefruit, you'd jsut have to taste and balance the sweetness with more or less sugar.

You could also soften a plain ice cream and beat in some orange zest and orange juice, then re freeze it in the shells..endless possibilities!Kithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11594062064082350697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25059881.post-44406825980610352222007-05-28T14:17:00.000+02:002007-05-28T14:17:00.000+02:00How you spoil us with such pleasures!Do you think ...How you spoil us with such pleasures!
Do you think this recipe would work with clementines too.
